Paul Whitfield founded Cornerstone Remodeling in 2006 after spending a decade as a project manager for a regional homebuilder. He saw that most remodeling nightmares stem from communication breakdowns — homeowners dealing with separate designers, GCs, subcontractors, and no one person who owns the outcome. The Cornerstone design-build model puts one team in charge from day one: design, permits, material selection, construction, and final inspection.
